The Muuni Fund successfully conducted a training session on district-level evaluations today, 4th of December, 2023. This follows after the fund called for applications from the general public from the 6th of September to the 6th of October 2023.

This initiative aims to equip evaluators with the necessary tools and methodologies for effective district-level evaluations and to provide practical insights into assessing the impact of research and innovation at the district level.

Members from the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority - MACRA are conducting the training in all the 35 local councils.

The trainings were chaired by the District Commissioners/ Chief Executive Officers, with the attendance of the Director of Health Social Services and Director of Agriculture, Environment and Natural Resources.

The members of the local council had created the intervention areas. The committee also comprised representatives from the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS), Malawi University Of Science and Technology (MUST), Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources NRC Campus (LUANAR) and Mzuni (MZUNI), representatives from Independent schools association of Malawi-ISAMA and representatives from ICT Association of Malawi – ICTAM that were spread across the local councils.
