Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) has launched an ICT research and innovation fund called the Muuni Fund. The launch took place at Bingu International Convention Centre, Lilongwe.

The launch event witnessed a remarkable turnout, with the presence of District Assemblies, District Commissioners, and District CEOs, who showcased their innovative ideas.

Each district presented its unique pavilions, displaying the exceptional projects they submitted to Muuni Fund for support in regard to the issues they are facing in their Districts.

The fund's primary objective is to provide seed money for research and innovation endeavors initiated by talented individuals across Malawi, facilitated through their respective District Councils.

The Minister of Information and Digitalization Hon. Moses Kalongashawa Kunkuyu presided over the launch.
