The MUUNI Team continued its consultation process by meeting Southern Region District Commissioners (DCs) and CEOs. The function was held today at Lotus Hotel and it targeted all DCs and CEOs from the Southern region. The DCs and CEOs are key players in the implementation of the Fund as they will provide support in the evaluation process at the district level. The meeting was graced by the MACRA Director General, Deputy Director of Decentralization from Local Government, Darwin Pangani while the MUUNI team was led by Wezi Salima.

The Director General emphasized on the collaboration of the councils with the fund in the execution of the district-level evaluations. During the meeting, there was a detailed presentation by Ms. Salima which attracted many observations and views from the DCs and CEOs.

They have commended MACRA for coming up with such a great initiative and also thanked the MUUNI Team for the meeting and pledged support to the implementation of the Fund to benefit Malawians in every district.
